BABY-PUCHKAY-about1.png

Baby Puchkay is born out of Angela’s love for her native country Perú and her passion for weaving and hand-made techniques. With an emphasis on craftsmanship and natural fibers, her garments feature native organic materials including Peruvian Pima Cotton or Tangüis Cotton as well as Baby Alpaca.

One of the care values of Baby Puchkay is the Andean Communities. Each collection is a collaboration between the brand and artisans of rural communities of Perú including communities from Puno, Ayacucho, Apurímac and Cuzco. The contribution of their traditional knowledge and ancestral techniques in spinning, knitting, weaving crochet and embroidery are essential to Baby Puchkay’s universe.

“We work in partnership with Andean communities in Peru empowering ancestral techniques through design”

We believe in empowering rural communities of Perú, so we choose to work only with local artisans strengthening the local economy by doing this. Our designs are minimal and timeless with a natural aesthetic inspired by the colors of the Andes.

OUR VALUES

BABY-PUCHKAY-iconos-values.png

Our designs feature 100% natural materials free from any harmful substance. Native and Pima or Tangüis Cotton are some of our main fibers. Native cotton is characterized by its natural color variety including shades of beige, green and brown without any genetic modification. It is known for its softness and anti-allergic properties as well as for its silky and light and/or warm texture.

We believe in connecting to nature by developing garments naturally dyed the way our ancestral cultures did in Perú. All of our products are hand-dye using plants, flowers and roots from different regions of Perú mainly from Cuzco & Puno.

We believe in sustainable practices and we want to share our vision of eco-friendly garments.

Be part of Baby Puchkay’s family!
