Social Project Warma kusikuy
We are committed to children living in extreme poverty, with those who suffer from malnutrition, respiratory illnesses due to low temperatures and where the support of the authorities is not enough. Thus, in the middle of this universe we identify the rural community of yuncaya located in the district of San Jerónimo, province of Andahuaylas, in the Departament of Apurímac in Perú at 3500 meters above sea level, there the weather is cold and dry oscillating between-10 to 20 °C.
Its topography is characterized by natural pastures and water sources, with agriculture and farming being its main economic sources. However, their weak organization and lack of development policies make these subsistence activities not sufficient.
Baby Puchkay through the social preject we call 'warma kusikuy' [a Quechua phrase that translated into spanish means “happy child”] wants to help these children with blankets, medications, nutritious breakfasts and other needs.
At the money raised by the purchase of boots or ballerinas made of organic cotton and hand-woven from Baby Puchkay, will go directly to a fund in order to fulfill this dream.
